Read up, write out formula summaries, and do lots of practise by doing exercises and past papers.

Three major different methods of studying for maths, all of which are important, but their relative amounts depend on how your brain works:

- write notes: write up formulae, make sure you cover everying, write out sample problems & solutions that illustrate clearly how to work with a certain type of problem... like a home-made guide book...

- expand your mathematical mind by looking into things like maths groups online, etc... doing extension stuff if you're interested. it helps, just to keep you thinking.

- practising problems, and more problems.... very important when it comes to the hsc!

1. make formula sheets with all the important formula's arranged by topic - learn them!

2. maybe go through a study guide to make sure you understand everything

3. past papers all the way!

Read examples and do questions (not all but mainly just the hard ones).
After you've done enough, you'll be familiar with the questions and apply what you remember.
