Still confused about how scaling works? Why is it that all the selective students full do physics, legal, 3U maths etc?

i'm a selective school student, and I don't do any of those subjects. that's a broad generalisation, and quite an unsubstantiated one too. you could say a fair few do those subjects, but not ALL.

Think of it as an indication of how a cohort of a subject would do if placed into a random subject - so obviously 4u maths, Chem, Physics are up - CAFS, General Math are down because you find the less intelligent do these.

Then why does UAC publish a scaling report? Is this done to confuse students, parents and teachers by encouraging them to believe a falsehood?
