like the rank of ur school in the state?

like my school, in yr12 only has 110 or so ppl and becoz its not a top school (st.patrick's dundas), i assume that only 40%-45% of ppl are working to achieve a good uai...

but while in other school, they may have more ppl in yr 12 and therefore have more ppl achieving good marks...

so i am wondering how it all works

There is no such thing as a school ranking in the literal sense which would affect your UAI! That is for the newspapers!

Your UAI is based on your own scaled marks ... And those are based half on your HSC Exam performance ... and half based on your subject rankings in your school! And subject rankings are used to determine your Assessment marks because different schools have different standards. Hope this helps! :)
