How does UAC preference work? (1 Viewer)

Would anyone mind telling how deferment and uni priority work?

I put down advanced science and Engineering as respective 1st and second for my preferences, if i happen to get an atar of 95 (i know its a long shot) would i be able to defer the advanced science and enter the engineering course in the main round of UNI offers?

Thanks in advanced, because the career teacher never explained it in that much detail

You order it in the order of your preference. Why else do they call it a preference? If you want to do engineering, put that first. Simple.
