Yeah, was just wondering, because the description for this states it is awarded when you demonstrate the learning outcomes for the unit at an exceptional standard. What does this mean, and is it really difficult to get if you maintain a good study routine and put diligent effort in your work? Thanks!

I mean it kinda depends on the subject as some subjects are quite hard and will require a lot of work to get a HD while some subjects are incredibly easy and won't require that much work. But in general I would say that you have to put in a decent amount of work into a subject to get a HD.

I'm going to do either a double degree in IT and Engineering or Comp Sci, how much work will it require to get a HD???

For Engineering subjects, it's extremely hard to get a HD. There's so much study, time and effort you have to put into one course, added to balancing all your other Engineering courses per semester and you're going to have hardly any time to socialise if you want the HDs. But trust me, you have a life and you need to live it, so anything that's a D or a C is also highly respectable.

For IT I don't think it'll be too hard as they tend to be more Business focused however for comp sci I would say there definitely will take some work as comp sci subjects do tends to be on the more difficult end.

Not too hard; challenging, but not impossible. This is for first year COMP SCI/MATH.

pls dont stress over getting a HD in comp sci, there's 0 point in trying that hard
