how hard is it to get a scaled mark of 50/100
A scaled mark of 50/100 should be equally as difficult to obtain as the same scaled mark in any other course.PublicUser said:how hard is it to get a scaled mark of 50/100
Whoa...what trial was that?haboozin said:ur looking at 12/120 ?
sisters friend got 15% (18/120) in the trials and got 62 HSC mark.
another person in the same trial got 97/120 and got 98 in HSC 2004
It's important we distinguish between scaled and aligned marks.PublicUser said:how hard is it to get a scaled mark of 50/100

Was it a more difficult paper than the 2005 CSSA or SGS papers?haboozin said:turramurra high...2004
my sister got 73/120 in that and hsc mark of 93.
only 3.63% get under 50/120....
so they probably get at least less than 20/120.

73/120 in the trial and an HSC mark of 93 - Turramurra must have had a difficult exam or your sister improved a lot between her trial and HSC exam.
Hmm...top in Shanghai and 97/120 - it must have been a hard test. Either that or he just made about 33 careless errors. China produces the best maths students in the world and yet he didn't get 120/120...something must be wrong therehaboozin said:i donno i dont think it was that hard... i got 103.5 this yr...
but the guy who got 97 was REALLY good.
he just didnt know english so well..
he was first in shanghai china before he came to australia as an international student.
his name was random. haha

Btw. do you have a copy of the Turramurra High 2004 paper?
If it's no trouble, do you think you could post up Q1-7? If it's inconvenient then don't worry, but I'm just curious as to how I'd go in the first 7 questions. If that guy who got 97/120 was working to his full potential then there's no doubt that getting full marks in the first 6 questions alone would get you 95+ in the HSC exam. If the first 7 are relatively easy, then I'm sure 95-100/105 wouldn't be far-fetched.haboozin said:yea but i dont have the last page (Q8)
so its a bit sillly cause i think the other questions r pretty easy (or CSSA standard)
