how long should essays be?? (1 Viewer)

hey guys i was just wondering how long (how many pages) you would write for your national studies essay? i dont mean to whinge but my teacher is shocking and i dont trust her judgement.

I write like 8 pages (1 booklet)

and would u go in there with a prepared essay? for both extended response?

yea for national studies, i have a few prepared like essay plans because i do germany and it's either going to be on rise of hitler or nazi's in power so it's easy, i had one prepared for fall of weimar in half yearly and wrote like a booklet and got 18/20, for peace and conflict l'll have prepared also but like 5-6 prepared and look at past hsc questions and see what it's going to be centered upon, eg. tactics and strategies is common so i already have a prepared essay on that.

oh ok..i do germany to, i have some notes but havent written essays yet... with the rise of hitler there is so much to write about...do u reckon the question is goin to be really specific?
we havent finished germanty yet and havent started vietnam (peace and conflict) yet... we are so screwed! so i am trying to get my head roun it all... u guys done much on peace and conflict?

lol you are heaps behind, we finished vietnam about 2-3weeks ago.

but generally speaking, 1000-1200 words.

In non HSC, normal A4 lined paper, 1000 words = 4 pages right?...because I dont think I can write any more in 35 minutes...

core takes 20% of time, national 40% and conflict 40%
so, 40% of total course time. but if you squeeze things in it'll be alright, don't fret, read ahead and you'll be fine. look at some of the exam questions, the syllabus.

Well I found that most of my essasy were about 1000 words, adn the essay for the last section (international study) was a bit longer...If you can write more its good but 1000 words should suffice for most purposes.

we were behind as well. but my teacher just moved onto the next subject and maade us come in, in the holidays for a whole ww2 day!
it was horrible!
almost wish i listened! lol
