how many high band 5s can you get and still get an ATAR of 99?

1? 2? 0?

what about to get 95+?

depends what subject that high band 5 is in and also how high your other marks are.. e.g. if you got a 95+

I'd say 2 is the absolute maximum.. if one of those subs were mx1 or mx2.. if not then only 1.

This is kind of a weird question. I mean if you state ranked MX1 & MX2 and got 89 for 4u eng and 3u classical greek you might have a chance.

But you have to remember ALIGNING HAS NO EFFECT ON THE CALCULATION OF ATAR

Yes it does. The aligned mark is then scaled to calculate the ATAR.

It really depends on your subjects.

According to the ATAR calculators, I could find a maximum of 4 subjects at Band 5 and still get over 99 ATAR.

English Advanced: 100
Maths Extension 1: 89
Maths Extension 2: 89
Physics: 89
Chemistry: 89
