I'd like to think that if I were in dire danger, and a similar situation, that others would assist; ergo I would be willing to assist the NZers across the divide. Besides, one of my best friends' relatives are close to the area, so I assume they had family there.

if you want to help, the best thing you can possibly do is to go on a holiday to NZ, particularly Christchurch, in the near future

they have more than enough money for immediate aid for their people and rescue (NZ are among the best in the world at this sort rescue) but christchurch relies heavily on tourism for income and this might scare people away in the immediate future

giving NZ a fucktonne of money at once wont help anyone
