I think when most couples start going out the guy might pay for the girl more, but when they have been going out for a while, its more an even thing, well thats how it was for me and my bf.

When we go out places now, its pretty much half and half and if we go driving to newcastle or something I will give him petrol money.

For birthdays and christmases and valentines days and stuff we have always bought pretty much evenly i think, its not like I bought him a mobile phone and he only bought me a box of chocolates or something for example, we're pretty good like that.

Sometimes he suprises me with presents and stuff, but thats pretty rare lol, I would rather we spend time together than being given flowers every week.

And I am definately not going out with him for money, he is only on traineeship wages and lives at home, and I earn more money a week than him, so I dont care if I dont get presents, I just want to be with him for him.
