English is gay.
Everyone spends too much time on it. Or they fail.
The English subject needs to be reviewed.

I just had my English Advanced half yearly this morning haha :(
English is pretty much all I study, just look at my units.
It helps me in all my other subjects because they're humanities.

I'm relieved, though, we didn't have a half yearly for Extension 1.
An easy assessment instead!

For english examinations, I just remember the quotes and go with the flow with the question in the exam. I find it too hard to try and prepare essays beforehand and adapting them to the question given.

I very rarely studied for English, possibly due to my severe hatred of the subject. But two or three days before any exam/assessment, I'd be writing notes on my texts, their contexts, techniques etc. In my opinion, memorising an essay is NOT a good way to study, because if you're asked to write a feature article or something apart from an essay/speech format, you're kinda stuffed. Have an idea of what you want to write, and elaborate on that by making strong, clear points which can be inserted into any text type.

Wishing I did Standard, Advanced was shit and I was forced to do it against my will...
