Study hard for it, and NEVER forget to show working. Working actually gets you more marks than what a simple answer does.
Past papers definitely help- practice these as much as you can!
Just working your butt off and putting in 110% will ensure you do well

Know EVERYTHING back to front.
Know how to answer all types of questions (discuss, explain, deduce, assess, etc), working on structure, and being able to communicate clearly and concisely.
Do past papers (that have solutions) under test conditions and mark them strictly.
Was there anything you missed?
Could you have done something better?
Perhaps make a new document to add all these things that you've missed so you won't make the same mistakes again and add them to your study notes.
By doing all this, you should be set for an awesome mark.

The bolded, specifically - this is what ultimately decides the difference between a low-mid Band 6 from a state ranker - most of the Band 6ers have a pretty decent understanding of the concepts and what not but their writing skills will vary greatly.Know EVERYTHING back to front.
