How to get into sports? (1 Viewer)

I haven't played in organised sports since I was very young. Now I'm inclined to joining a "team sport" like basketball, soccer, hockey, etc. but I'm unsure on how to go about this (I want to call around but I don't know what to say, I feel embarassed because I don't know any friends who would join with me or let me join anything of theirs....)

normally theres a registration day before the season starts at the teams club. u can either find the date on their web site or call them up. i joined a footy club a while back by my self and i made a heap of friends, so don't worry about it.

the back of your local newspaper should have some clubs requesting people to join
