Hi
I am currently a French exchange student in Sydney. My visa allows me to work for 20 hours per week, and I have 4 free days a week.
I am not looking for a real job but I'm looking for some opportunities to make a few bucks. Making 1000$ over the next 3 months would be more than enough.
Is it possible to do French tutoring ? (My uni offers a language exchange programme so I don't think anyone would pay for a french tutor as they can get one for free with the exchange programme...) If so, how is it possible to find potential students ?
I hold a bachelor in engineering, and my home uni provides its students with a really solid background in maths and physics (*)
Again, how can I find potential students for that ?

I've subscribed to ASBLabs ( http://lab.asb.unsw.edu.au/website/ ) which can earn me a few bucks once in a while.
Any other ideas ? (feel free to mention anything)

About the pay, a typical tutoring hour would be how much ? It seems to be around 20-40$ ?
(*) : some third year students of my school make 75$/hr with a weekly oral examination for 3 students, I reckon this is really a privilege.

Thank you !

I'd do french tutoring if i were you. Makes sense given your expertise. Can do private to randoms by advertising in local paper (quite dangerous IMO) or you could just advertise to other uni students.

Maybe post an advertisement on BOS to see the type of interest you may get?
