How to make a model of a household circuit? (1 Viewer)

Hey guys, So I've got a preliminary assignment on electrical energy in the home.
This is the task:
"Plan, choose equipment or resources to construct a simple model of a household circuit using electrical components."

But here's the thing.. I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA ABOUT ELECTRICITY AND ALL THIS CIRCUIT STUFF! And i have no idea how to go about this and I'm freaking out cause i have to submit part A: equipment & method next week!

Would any have any sites or other resources they'd recommend that would help me with this? Or any suggestions or other help for how I should go about this?
Any help will be appreciated! I'm absolutely clueless & desperate over here!!
