i basically want to edit the ID3 tags of a few albums. and instead of doing them song by song in winamp, i was wondering if there was a quiker way to do them for entire albums? like, i dont want to have to write out the album name every time, for each song.

any help is appreciated.

thanks.

Just select multiple songs in Winamp and edit their details.

There are multiple softwares that allows this.

One such example is Mp3tag, where you can select a heapload of songs and just name the artist or album once, without having it do it one by one.

As I said, there are numerous programs and I can't suggest you one that's easy because they all seem fairly complex. I haven't spent much time on 'em, maybe after my HSC?

Name It Your Way

does more than just mp3 tags.

I use this to label all my mp3 files in an orderly way.

foobar has a plugin for the FreeDB tagging, as well as mass tagging, guessing from filenames etc.
