as title suggests
look at the marks that are allocated for the question and then consider what those marks could be allocated for. This will Make sure u write all the relevant information and u don't need to feel like writing a billion sentences that are detailed to feel like you answered the question correctly. Fir example if its a 3 marker, its usually one mark for outlining whatever the q is asking then another mark for using relevant calculations or justifications to get to the answer and the third mark for getting the answer. The mark allocation basically tells u what details u need to add if that makes sense

You can write in dotpoints which will help both you in terms of seeing if you've given enough detail and for the marker since it's easier for them to tick off the criteria

Plan your answer on a spare page at the back of the paper.
One minute spent mind-mapping your answer will save time, gain your more marks, avoid mistakes, and it will make your answer easier to read and mark. Oh and don't forget, "a picture tells a thousand words" so a well drawn labelled diagram can also save you time explaining complicated ideas.
