does anyone know how to table y=-x+5?

what is -x?

-0x?.
-1(x) = -(x)

So for x = -2

y = -(-2)+5
= 2+5
=7

The table looks like this...

x | -2 | -1 | 0 | 1 | 2 |
y | 7 | 6 | 5 | 4 | 3 |

i) say number is x,

16% increase ----> 1x +0.16x = 1.16x
16% decrease ----> 1.16x -0.16(1.16x) = 1.16x -0.16(1.16x) = 1.16x(1-0.16) = 1.16x(0.84) = 0.9744x
