PRIME Minister John Howard says he will try to persuade a company to change its mind over a decision not to pay redundancy to a worker dying of cancer.

Mr Howard today branded the behaviour of Sydney manufacturer Tristar Steering and Suspension appalling after the Marrickville company's terminally ill accounts manager, John Bevan, was denied redundancy.

Mr Bevan, who is suffering bowel and liver cancer and has only days to live, believes the company is waiting for him to die so that it can avoid the payout.

He has worked for the company for 43 years.

...
olol. my kind of company. Australia under WorkChoices, a worker's paradise. Especially if you've got bowel cancer.

Ugh .. you do realize that this situation would be exactly the same WorkChoices or not?

Have you even read a word of the legislation? Or are you one of the "I oppose workchoices because its lefty kewl" retards?

Something tells me its the second.
