seeing there are no answers for these questions i need someone to check if i got this question right....

Q5) (i) a paticle moves in the x-axis with acceleration at postition x given by
dv/dt = -p^2x

where p is a positive constant. If at zero time the particle is released from rest at point x = a derive formulae for

(a) its velocity v at postion x

(b) its position x at time t

now ive got my own answer to this but unsure if ime right so give it ago.:chainsaw: :chainsaw:

If it's (p^2)x, then it's just shm. You get those two equations... can't remember what they are, v^2=p^2(a^2-x^2)? don't remember...
