has anybody attempted these papers?
Whats ua thoughts on them?

not too bad... they have very different questions though like financial math.
I assume we dont need to know financial as i have no idea bout them cause i did 4 unit, never did that 3 unit stuff.

I did 97-99 and they were pretty much the same as 2000 onwards.

i think we need to know finance qsn as its considered to be harder 2 unit. like when u do 4unit harder 3 unit.Although Harder 2 unit is not examined as much as the 90's.

I've seen 2 finance qu's so far, Q2 and a Q6. Very easy, just a few different things. I'm doing the 1999 paper atm, and its very stagithforward, back onto discussion haha.

In four unit we actually have a topic on out book called harder 3 unit. I have no 2 unit books so i have no idea about financial.

after 1990 the questions are all the same, only things i made mistakes on were careless errors such as differentiating trigonometric functions, forgetting to use the product rule. otherwise, the only other thing i'm worried about is if they ask a question on using simpsons/trapezoidal rule. theyve done it before in one of the papers to determine an approximation for e. GUH.

harder 3 unit is always examined in 4 unit except in our 2008 exam we didnt have much if any. yh we dont have a topic for harder 2 unit but its assumed knowledge.

Alot of 2 unit is already incorporated into 3u, eg. calculus (determining minima/maxima) and rates, its just little things that don't come up very often that get people that don't do 2u. (like me xD)
