Tips on using the HSC Advice Line
The teachers at the HSCAdvice Line are happy to answer any of your questions, no matter how simple.
Here are some questions you might want to ask:
* How is the exam structured?
* What is the meaning of a particular term or concept?
* What is the answer to this question on the specimen/past examination paper?
* Can you please explain the important issues in this topic?
* How do I structure an essay?
* Where can I find more information on this topic?
* Can you help me with this question from my study guide/textbook?
* What equipment will I need in the examination?
* What time does the exam start?
Don't leave it until the last minute to call the Advice Line. You might find that an Adviser can quickly answer a question on which you are stuck and help you to move on.
The information provided by the Advice Line is useful, accurate and, best of all, it is free!
If you do ring at a busy time (usually just before the exam) please be patient and remain on the line. We increase the number of Advisers at busy times to meet your needs.
The best times to call are:
Sunday to Friday between 6.00 pm and 7.00 pm
Friday evenings
Saturday and Sunday mornings.
The HSCAdvice Line is not available from mobile telephones.
