For the HSC, are English papers marked by markers who know about the texts or just someone who may know it? If there's a possibility you can get a marker who doesn't know your text then is it fine to bullshit a few things?

Also, do all papers from one school get sent to one marker? If so, is it bad if quite a few people use the same related texts, the same quotes etc

English papers may be marked by a teacher who does not know much about the text that is being written about. However, if it is a prescribed text then chances are they are more likely to have come across it so it would be less fine to "bullshit" as such.

Hey! I wouldn't be bullshitting because these markers are generally very experienced and there is a fair chance that they have taught the text before. But mainly they look at your ability to write in a sophisticated yet clear and concise manner- regardless of the text. And due to them having so much experience they can probably tell that you are bullshitting lol.

I'm pretty sure they are random as they get sent to marking centres in which there are many teachers ready to mark the exams

Apparently specific amount of teachers mark each module. So for example in Module B, teachers don't necessarily get all essays from one prescribed text. They can get any prescribed text cause in the end the questions are going to be the same.


So teachers are going to know all the prescribed texts well.
