Question:

How many peices of related material will we need to know for Experience Through Language and Texts and Society?

Also,

How many how many texts from the stimulus booklet and how many peices of related material for the Journeys unit?

u should know at least 2 related materials for the module a, preferably 3.
as to ur second question. u should know around 2-3 stimulus booklet texts and round 2 related material for the journeys

ok, this is what i know.
Area of study: 2 related material and AT LEAST one stimulas.
Module A: 2 related materials.
Module B: you dont need any, you only need a lot of info on the text.
Module C: 2 related material.

in the exam you can never be sure if they will ask for ONE related piece or TWO, so it is always advised that you have TWO.

also, if the question asks for AT LEAST ONE related text, they mean TWO.

What should you know about the related texts? How much depth?

you pretty much need to go into quite a bit of detail. for example. i used 'wasted years' by Van morrison for area of study and i wrote about half a page. you need to be able to relate it to some of the themes or characters of your text.
you MUST know how the composer uses language features to convey the meaning of the text, this is stuff like mataphors, rythm or even colloquial language.
you have to be able to sound believable, so know all the language features and how the piece relates to your text.
