If for example in English standard I score a raw mark in the exam of 85 but because my rank is like 47/110 the equivalent mark would be like something lower like say in the 70's do they still align it to the 70 mark or do they keep the 85? If they choose to align to 70 do they do anything to this mark to make up for the discrepancy in raw and aligned mark?

they would calculate the average between the assessment mark 70 which was determined using your rank and your external mark 85 so your overall mark would be 78
