Hi,
I just wanted to get some of your advice on what marks would be needed in the following subjects to get a UAI of at least 70.00.. and 80.00 thx, this is for a friend who doesnt have internet access...

Mathematics 2U
English Std
Studies of Religion I
Information Proccesses and Technology
Physics
Business Studies

With the following rankings:

Maths - 6/10
English - 6/13
IPT - 3/8
Physics - 3/9
SOR I - 12/23
Business studies - 5/8

Thank you :D

We need more than just rankings.

It's kind of hard to reverse-calculate a UAI imo. You'd rather supply a range of marks and see what the predicted UAI will be, rather than provide ranks alone and ask about what marks would be needed for a particular UAI (without the use of UAIseeker 2003).

I would say that this person would be getting in the 65+ if they are accurate HSC predicted marks.

Keeping those marks, 70 isn't impossible, but I really doubt that this person will get 80.

Thanks for that Huy, but 65 would be pretty dissapointing I think

Actually what about if this person scored really really well in all their school based assessments before these marks...like averaging 90%...? would that do them much better ?

Naturally, it would. But don't expect anything magical :) You have to remember that school based assessments are averaged with examination marks to give the resultant HSC mark. The UAI is calculated on a totally different 'number cruncher' and so this would then give an alternative UAI than had previously been expected (using predicted HSC marks alone).

they arent all too bad, considering they are raw, which i think they are. i think mid 70s is possible with the predicted hsc results and good ranks. what is the school like?
