[FONT=&quot]c) 19 [/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]d) 10 chromosomes in the male gametes and 9 chromosomes in the female gametes[/FONT]




The answer is c) 19. but i don't get why...
isnt it that the 19 chromosomes, each with two sister chromatids, is the diploid number?

c/ as each with two sister chromatids (diploid number) would produce haploid cells each with 19 single strands

i thought the diploid number of chromosomes replicate during the early stages to form two sister chromatids? or it only occurs in meiosis not mitosis?...



i saw this question when i was studying for my half yearly and i forgot what year is it from...
i only copied down the question and answer.
