much easier than I thought it would be
and I thought it was going to be easy anyway

this is kinda bad. everyone I know thought it was easy. I doubt there's going to be much differentiation in the marks

lol religion, I'm not even going to bother studying that :p

edit: posted wrong msg in wrong thread

...wat can i say...

only a few ppl get into band 6 in sciences, so they mark it really hard. We've been taught at my skool to include as much detail as possible, coz even tho u may seem to answer the question and think its easy, the markers have a marking guideline and if u dont include sumfin, they wont give u the marks.

The thing wiv science is dat its not so much u asnwer all the questions, u gotta answer it and show off as much knowledge u have on that subject as possible.

imo

After you calculated the mass defect, convert it to MeV and you'll get around 11.55... this is the maximum because it was all of the mass lost converted to energy after beta decay.

How early did everyone else finish ? I finished at 1 hour 55 minutes. Took me about 15 minutes after finishing and about 4 attempts to get question 5.

we have to stay in, not allowed to go out.
Took about 2hrs yea, (spent half an hour on that last bit of the option), checked over for half an hour, then went to sleep.

can't leave??

Who says you can't leave? Your school shouldn't be able to stop you. I'm sure that it's a standard rule tht you just have to stay for the first hour, and the last half hour.

Yeah, when they read out the Board Of Studies rules at the beginning of each exam, they say you can't leave in the first hour and the last 15 minutes.
