I thought it was just to recheck that the marks were added up correctly (not an entire remark)

Affirmative.

It's only to get your marks re-added up.

can u lose marks?
No! they can only add marks not deduct

btw i dont think it's $30 it was less probably half of that..... except i think english is a little more expensive than any other exam

basically if u feel u performed way better in an examination and u recieved a very low mark or one that u were confident was not equivalent to ur performance.. then go for it!!!

I had my arabic exam re-checked last year... nothing happened... i always got the feeling one of my exam booklets were lost.... don't know why but as soon as i walked out of the exam room i felt one may have slipped..... who knows i was probably just paranoid... but yeh that's why i had mine re-checked

it's rare that people do actually recieve an increase in marks as the marking process usually makes up for simple counting errors whilst calculating ur mark.

Does anyone know how you can get your internal mark rechecked? 'Cause last year when I did Y12 Chemistry I got an exam mark of 95 but an internal of 36. Seeing how I came 2nd it seemed a little odd.

Whilst I know it's too late to recheck this, how could I have it done if something happens this year?

Are you serious? If you are then that's is an outrage! I'd storm BOS with a suicide-bomb vest and demand a recheck!

That sounds very strange...with such a discrepency, I would have informed BOS. What exam mark did the person who ranked 1st get?

It's not too late to have this checked - any problem would have arisen from the calculation of the moderated assessment marks for your class, which would still be on file.

I strongly suggest that you investigate this ASAP. Such a huge discrepancy could have a very noticeable impact on your UAI.
