I've already done one hsc subject, and i know that the mark i got for that subject is well ranked for last years HSC...but if i had got it for the year b4 then it wouldn't have been such a good mark. So if i put it in SAM for 2004 is it scaling according to the marks got that year? I'm a bit confused.

To perform this accurately, it would be nice if you could deduce your scaled mark.

If you tell us what HSC mark you received, the year it was achieved, and the course in which it was received, we can deduce your scaled mark. You then need to go in to SAM and fiddle with that course until you get as close as you can to the scaled mark we gave.

PS: Scaled marks are calculated once at the time you presented for that course. If you did a course in 2004, your scaled mark would be calculated in 2004 with respect to the 2004 candidature of that course and remain fixed until your UAI is calculated.

SAM will be able to scale 2004 HSC marks very soon. :)
