Okay so my HSC is 67.15 but putting my results into a VCE calculator it says 88.75 (yes I am putting my marks out of 50 and the UAC LIST of course equivalent) is it calculated the same or are you ranked higher in Victoria?

scaling is different, assessments are different, exams are different - they're almost incomparable really.
but imo, given just how many selective schools there are in NSW, the largest student body of any state in Australia and just how international some of the major population hubs around Sydney are - the HSC is more difficult in obtaining a high atar.
