I make the logical assumption that your situation satisifies the criteria that I outlined in my previous post seeing as you quoted it and responded to parts of it. So since you say that you are not dumb because your school passed the 400th mark (400th out of what? 500? So bottom 20%?), then that must mean that you're a lazy sloth?

hey, not being rude - but if a kid from james ruse, eg, that got 100 uai this yr... went to your school..

he would be able to get at least 99 at ur school very easily.

if you are ranked first and get hsc marks of 95+ your assessment marks will be 95+ - no matter what school.

In good schools u must do good all yr and could fuck up the hsc.
however in ur school you have to do average all yr but kill the hsc.
to get the same results.

anyways - im really talking about super nerds - also atmosphere of the school is very important (unless ur a super geek that nothing gets in ur way) which probably led to this unfortunate mark.
you could have also studied all the wrong subjects with poor scaling which didnt help..

getting 60-70's does sound pretty unfair for a uai of 30..
but then again with some subjects u begin to be in the bottom 10% with marks of 60 and uai is a ranking system so it would all work out as it should have been.

chiky pie, here's what you might be able to do to get you into uni:

• Repeat HSC
• Do the TPC
• Do a Diploma at TAFE or at some private colleges(not all have credit transfer with uni so a TAFE is probably better...and cheaper)
• Do an ACU UniAccess Diploma
• Do a course with Open Universities Australia
• Do Non-award with UWS
• Do a CIT Bachelor or Associate degree in Canberra - no UAI needed.

Now if you want information on anything to do with those options - read the link I posted earlier in the thread or use the search function cos there is heaps of info around if you look at it.
