aaaaaaaaah i dont kno wat 2 say
i just hate maths 2 death!!
i studied quite a bit for the trials and still didnt pass!!! grrrrrrrr....

can ne1 suggest some ways for me 2 study for maths (effectively?) hahaha...i just do different exercises from my textbook but it doesnt seem to help.....HELPPPPP hehehe

get the past papers book, and general maths in a month.

If you do like 10 years worth of exams prior to the hsc ull do good? They can only reword a question so many times..

I dun know whether this will work for you, but try to do maths questions more than one way. That way you'll understand how to do questions flexibly instead of mechanically.

i reckon gererall maths is harder than 2unit maths.

U have all these crap about compund interest and long/lats.

well.. im sorry to say that if your still not passing it then your pretty well screwed. But the best thing to do would be to jump onto the resourses part of BOS and start from the top of General maths stuff... youd be surprised how many times your willing to read about something as long as its not exactly the same as before.

the only quick solution is past papers, start off with 2004 to boost your confidence, focus entirely on the question, see WHY you made mistakes, it could be silly little mistakes rather than totally cocking up the question. also find out why you got it wrong, if you figure it out on your own why you got it wrong, it sticks in

must people do maths by memorising formulas. this is ineffective in so many ways. instead you should learn to derive the formula by using an logical thinking and analysis. normally, you learn a topic which relates to the previous topic, the formulas which you've learn from them play a role in these new formulas you need to know.
