Or you could try PHIL1010 Society, Knowledge & Reason. I don't know how interesting it is, as I'm going to be doing it this coming semester. But 1st year philosophy can't be that hard. *fingers crossed for this unit*

i did introductory logic last semester, i dunno if its any different at usyd but its only good if you like calculus, and surprise, i didnt :( it shouldnt count as a philosophy subject its more like maths and i dont think the pass rate is very good, and im assuming at usyd theyd have a final exam in the exam period so yeah, prob not intro logic... its shit

Introductory Logic contains calculus? I never would have thought. Yeah I wonder why it is a philosophy unit then... :confused:

its not like full on calculus, but a form of it, like substituting english sentences that form arguments into letters and theres lots of symbols and true or false values and stuff, so yeah as i say, maths :S

Yeah, intro logic does have a final exam worth 40% (if memory serves me correctly). I'm not sure if i'd describe it as 'calculus'. I'd say it feels more like playing tic-tac-toe with yourself.
