heyz pplz

i need help cuz i dont really get this maths question>>> if sum1 could help>>> it would be great>> well im a yr 7 student yeah and the question is>>

an object dropped from rest is acted upon gravity. it will have a velocity of

v km/h after falling d metres (ignoring air resistance) according to the formula

v=8.4 x square root d.

a) make d the subject of the formula

b) hence or otherwise, find how far the object will have to fall before its velocity is 42km/h?

a
v = 8.4 x root d
v / 8.4 = root d
d = v2 / 70.56 (squaring both sides)

b

Sub v = 42km/h into the new equation

d = 25 m
