gee no shit they aren't gonna call you if you don't contact them in 8 months. They probably thought you left the freaking country. Get off your high horse and do something about them not giving you shifts instead of arrogantly sitting back and waiting for them to do something. I'm sure some managers are dickwads, but unfortunately thats life, you have to swallow your pride and deal with pricks like this Nada person.
