Well, I am happy that Jo ended up with Frederich Bhaer.

And Yes, Thank god Kirsten didnt continue with the role, and they got someone older - otherwise I would be too pissed off with Kirsten to like her (but then again, im quite pissed off with her for another reason). As Far as im concerned, "Teddy" was never good enough for Jo.

How special are some of these lines!

aww, i loooove the book, an old childhood fave, but i can't watch it because i get too sad when beth dies and i cry and it's no good :(

Beths final words with Jo are so painful to sit through. :( Claire Danes was sheer brilliance in that. I always felt sorry for her character, because she was very - self excluded- but extremely humble to others.

The casting in this was brilliance, but i admit, it has taken me some time to get used to the idea of Gabriel Byrne as Frederich Bhaer.

Winona Ryder has given one of the best performances, and im glad she managed to pull through with a SHOCK nomination in 1994 at the oscars.
