You can walk to Kingsford (just a little down Anzac Parade) for Oportos or just normal restaurants/take away stores.

There's cheaper food on campus if you know where to look. Search this forum for tips, they've been listed a million times.

In general though campus food sucks and if you want anything decent, bring it yourself.

If you continue to walk up High Street you will reach randwick centre. There are KFC, Subway and various resturant around there. Food will still cost you about 7-8 bucks.

Next is locate McDonalds on Barker Street. Turn left on Anzac parade. Walk along that road will bring you to some chinese/japanese/indo restuarants + oporto.

Explore these two areas.

Yeh theres heaps of places to eat at the shops at Randwick. However, its a bit of a trek from lower campus (i.e. if your close to anzac parade).

On special occasions after the Canadian guy in the Physics labs gives me and my friends the shits we travel a fair bit to eat at ethnic restaurants.
Make your own, it's cheaper and it's you who will affect the hygiene standards.

Isn't there a co-op food store somewhere behind the roundhouse? (Or squarehouse).

And yeh - I agree, uni food is ridiculously expensive - but that's how they roll. Personally, I always make sanwitches at home and bring them to uni.
