i've always loved writing, but right now I absolutely hate doing extension 2, I'm so stressed about it all the time, because the teacher keeps pressuring me to come up with ideas.
My problem is that I keep thinking of things that seem like great ideas at the time, and then I'll wake up the next morning and decide that its the crappiest idea I've ever thought of.
And what makes it even worse, is that theres only 2 other people doing it, and they both know EXACTLY what they're doing and EXACTLY how they're going to do it. Its so frustrating!
The Proposal is due NEXT WEEK, and I just don't know what to do! Should I stick with an idea I'm not inspired by? And I also want to know - can I change my idea after I've submitted my proposal for it??
 :(

Definitely don't stick with an idea ur not inspired by and ideally you wouldn't be changing your idea much after the proposal. obviously you might modify it as it develops but you're pretty much stuck with the medium and what you set out to do in your proposal.
what medium are you thinking of? what's your idea?
if it's any consolation i didn't come up with an idea till the weekend before the proposal was due and i ended up getting ranked one out of 25 ppl
what i'm saying is that it shouldn't be something to stress about. it can be really enjoyable and it hopefully will be

You can change your idea after the proposal. One person from last year at my school changed idea, medium, everything, all in the July holidays !!! My teacher tells this story with a note of horror in his voice and it is really not recommended.
But it can be done.....

thanks for your help guys! I handed in my Proposal yesterday, and I was actually quite happy with it in the end - I dunno what the mark will be like though, oh well - I'm just relieved that its over and done with.

i wouldn't worry too much. I did a really shocking proposal (I didn't realise it was due until the day before) and basically stuffed up most of the assessment tasks, but I'm still satisfied with the end result.

Well if you get stuck for ideas I've learned a sure fired way to get the juices flowing.
First, get two totally different things. Say 'Dogs' and 'jerseys'. Then, put both together
for totally original ideas.
eg. 'Dogs playing Rugby in the world cup'
'Dogs evolving into jerseys'
'Dog eating Jerseys'
A planet of Dogs that look like Jerseys'

The ideas are endless.
