Would you and for what reason?

No, I changed my mind. English isn't really my thing, plus I hate it. Its better off for me to do other subjects instead.

The first answer that came to my mind was a definite 'no' ;p, but if I think about it, it'd probably be smart to keep it.

I would love to use the extra two units on some other subject that interests me though!

I might still do English to maintain the necessary skills to communicate and write
Please...studying shakespeares and change does not equal to greater communication or writing skills.

Depends on what subjects would be on the same line as English.

Heheh, I would. :shy:
If I didn't do ext 1, I wouldn't be as enthusiastic about the world of literature as I am right now. Also I have to most awesome English teacher!
However I do have to say, English being compulsory - I'm a bit *meh* on that ;)

I recon they should have an english component that you either pass or fail, it shouldn't have to count for a UAI. im not hopeless at english, but it is my worst subject and the two units have to count. And the english we do seems to not make any difference to communication. if they can't teach that by the SC, then what hope do they have for the HSC?

Compulsory HSC english is designed to bring the asian person's UAI down.

You know it makes sense. :)
