If i could do the HSC again.. i'd drop out at the end of year 10.

I wouldn't have changed any of my subjects... except maybe picking up 3 unit english

- photography (yr 11 only)

i would've done:
- std eng all d way thru
- found a way to get an intermediate maths....general's 2 easy, 2u's ok but 2 many formulas (mabey for eng 2)
- tried 2 get photo 2 go for 2 yrs (mid yr 11 she said that if we had enough ppl, she'd try n get it 2 go for yr 12 aswell..neva happened)

Maths
Maths Ext 1
Chem
Physics
English Standard
Business Studies.

Instead of Physics i shud have done Economics
and instead of Chem-->Legal Studies. instead of English Standard-->English Advanced.

Cos i wud have done better at these subjects cos after HSC i have realised that i am not exactly a science person.

i tell you what i would like maths wise .. not a maths between general and 2 unit ... but a level between 2 unit and 3 unit

coz 2 unit is easy but 3 unit gets too hard

Nah it's not that. I thought i really liked science(not cos it was easy in year 10), and i needed it for doing Computer Engineering or Software engineering...for this reason i also did IPT in year 11. But at the end of year 11...i was like i am not a computer person or a Physics person...Now i am doing B.commerce at USYD..so yeah i wud have found Econ more interesting or valuable than the sciences.

^^ lol okay i had a similiar problem at the beginning of this year ( 11) i picked like all scienced stuff and them i was like, hey, i am an english person and went around trying to change everything ( and anything)

Instead I did shit subjects.

not really.....the way i c it, general's shit easy (like a 1 on a scale on 1-10), 2u's heaps harder than that (like a 5)...n 3u's heaps harder again (a 7), then 4u's the hardest (10)
so we need something between general n 2u (if it was them 2 on a scale, it'd b like 1 or 2 vs. 7 or 8)

How is Commerce at USYD? I'm thinking of doing that.....if i get in!

I like it. It's good if u like Maths and Business. At the end of HSC i knew that these are the only things that i enjoy out of all my subjects.

in first year they make u do a subjects like Accounting, Economics, Satistics and one elective each Semester...(similar in UNSW i think), so you know what major u want to do ( I am not very sure about majors as yet since i am myself new to this stuff).

I was gonna pick UNSW over USYD...but now when i look back i reckon choosing USYD is the best decision i have ever made . I love the environment, and the travelling is not too hectic either unlike UNSW. It has all the facilities...it's a really nice place to be in.

And now, new friends is the best part

I would have changed almost everything lol...

I currently do
adv eng, mathematics, bio, soc n cult, sdd and drama

If i could choose again (and if my school wasnt so crap and let me be in a class on my own lol)

ext english, bio, geog, soc n cult and possibly modern history

then i wouldnt be doing maths! and I wouldnt have 3 majors

I do Adv. English, 2 u maths, chem, bio, earth science, ancient history...

If I could change them, I'd have done German instead of earth science (all that was on my earth line was physics and design and tech!!), and I would've done Extension English, and if my school had let me know the bloody subject existed, and that we were going to have the chem teacher who they SWORE was leaving the school, i wouldn't have done chem - i'd have done senior science by distance ed.

i so thankful that i dropped chem after the half yearly last year and took up geography. I'm pretty happy with the subjects i do now.

3u/4u maths

I don't think i would've changed a thing well, maybe biology instead of economics in year 11 but I wouldve ended up dropping it anyway. My best 10 units are the ones I enjoy the most.
