Remember that little 'feature' we discovered and traced out with the iLecture system? Does anyone have the list that someone put together of which numbers correlate to which courses?

If not I'll generate another one, but there're some lectures I want to listen to... :)

Just out of curiousity, what 'features' are we talking about?
Some time ago I noticed you could change the url of the iLecture website and get access to any recorded lecture you want. I wrote a little website to do it, but it was a little too popular and I took it down as a result. (Have since lost the code for the website, though, :( and hence this post)

Is there anyway we can get that feature again? :)

So isn't there a way of fiddling with the link again and rediscovering it?

Awesome. Ta Dude.

These holidays, sometime, I'm hoping to have a little website going. If I get a chance, I'll knock together the basic webpage again...

Damnation, I know how to fiddle with it, but to match a particular URL to a particular subject is repetitive and boring... If Asylum's gone and done the repetitive and boring task of doing that, then I'm not going to, too! ;) The fiddling itself is relatively easy to do -- one way of finding out how to do it is to delve through the HTML code of WebCT to find it, but once you have you're set.

Otherwise, I'll get that website up and running, one day, as promised in the original thread! :D

i don't think there is anything wrong with us knowing this, i have been sent the above link by a lecturer, but everyone seems hesitant to post it on the board so i'll edit this out later if you all like.
Thanks IAB.

What we need is someone who knows PHP or some other way to grab certain lines from a site and output them to a page/list

That's what my original site did, but you had to add them manually to the database, and then it'd remember it... couldn't be bothered parsing pages in to get a title when we've got a whole lot of willing participants :) ...anyone got some PHP+MySQL hosting (that they don't get for free), and willing to host it for me?

Re the editing out, if anyone did a quick search they should be able to find the URL anyway.

The simple solution for MQ's IT dept would be to require authorisation to get access to it. As there's no restrictions, I ASSUME that it's publically available (but haven't read the fine print... has anyone?). However I'd be surprised if the uni was happy to let anyone listen to them -- including people who don't pay for the content. Or ...maybe the uni doesn't care, and view it that you pay for the degree, rather than pay for the content..

Edit Still have the PHP source code to the original site.

Its not the uni's fault, its the way the WebCT system just works hehe :)

Regarding the site, well I believe mednez may be helping me out with this during the holidays, so I'll see how it goes :)
