You won't be doing English Extension 2 in the Preliminary (Year 11) .. But OMG all your courses are based on literature ...

Always remember though, that you should your subjects for your interest and/or ability in them. No amount of scaling will save you if you perform badly in your subjects for whatever reason.

wow even year 10 are worried about scaling. what the hell are coaching centres telling these kids?

13 units.. thats a bit too many units.. aim to only have 12 when ur in yr 12..

hmmm how should i do that? i dont want to drop 4U maths or 3U english :'(

Be aware that MX2 may eat up a lot of your time, if you don't work consistently, maybe about 30-40% of your study time

That's basically what I'm doing, except for the extension on english. I have quite enjoyed these subjects, must agree that the extension 2 maths does require alot of time in terms of doing questions. Overall, it's quite alot of work, but if you work consistently throughout the year, it's very rewarding. :)

You can do 13 units- people make too much fuss, I started with 15 because I didn't know what to drop. I kept up 13 for ages and did fine, though I did go to 12- but dont let your school bully you into not trying something, if you drown after a term you can drop one, but its harder to pick something up when you regret not taking it later.
