Especially if ur suggesting trialling them under US law where it could take years for their verdicts...

I dunno, does the UN have a system for THEM to deal with prisoners of war? Because if they do i'd say the right action would be to hand them over to them... set up a common international practice that must be abided by.

Phone tapping, etc has been going on for many a year as someone stated. While i do respect privacy, i value my life as oposed to becomming embarrased. Remember that no one can make you feel infereior without your permission.

Anyway whats going to happen if people hear you talk private to your gf? Nothing. THey dont know you, so they can't really say anything. Hackers do that all the time.

What i am concerned iss that if theis phone tapping service can become corrupted and be of control to other intelligence authorities, with a malicious intent.

There was a tiny little article several months ago in the Sunday Telegraph that explained how a USA soldier in Iraq decided to leave Iraq because he didn't agree with the actions of the US there. Well once he prematurely returned to the US he was sentenced to gaol/jail for one whole year for going against Bush's war effort. If that source was accurate, then I'd say that's a terrible injustice and a heavy violation of any of that "freedom" rubbish they hang onto over there.

I realise the differences between the US and here, but Johnny's best mates with Bush and more often than not thinks along the same lines, wouldnt you say? Don't think it'd be beyond him to use the info. from phone tapping for exposing "criminals" other than just potential terrorists.

No racism here, because I ain't racist, and I have aboriginal friends, but I know people who have good reason to be racist:

I know of people who were gang bashed in Newcastle recently, and everyone of the attackers was of aboriginal ethnicity, every single one. They also stole a few things such as phones as a couple of them. Having said that, it's only a few of them, not all, but it is enough to turn people racist. (And then there's those Redfern riots but about them I only know what I heard from the media).

More of that later.

Aboriginies are treated as if they're born deficient by the government. They get funding for their skin colour, which ain't right. They should be treated the same as everyone else. A lot of them may be poor or live in "bad" areas, but they should recieved fudning because of this. All poor people, etc, should recieve the same funding regardless of skin colour.

Giving them benefits because they're black is just seperating us from them, which is almost as bad as racism. The message is sent that if your Aboriginal you need help. So much for self respect.

Above I mentioned things such as a recent violent attack in Newcastle. This sure as hell ain't right, but from the way the media portrays them and the government acts there is the sense that the simply acting the way everyone expects. Which, by the way, is no justification for their acts.

it has nothng to do with this thread, but i just thought that i would state that it is possible to tap into someones jeyboard to get into their emails with out going directly through emails. and since it run through the keyboard, it gets all the things that person who owns has typed.

Right...What I meant was:

Aboriginal people are given special treatment simply because they're Aboriginal. And they don't complain. They're being singled out, being told they're different, and told that they're incapable of looking after themselves and they need help because of their race. And they don't have a problem with being treated as if they need help simply because of their ethnicity.
So much for equality. They are being treated different because they're Aboriginal and they seem to expect it. This is another form of racism. They are being singled out for their skin colour. It creates rifts and it isn't right.

If they deserve benefits they shouldn't get it because they're Aboriginal, but because they're poor, or from a "bad" neigbourhood etc.
