im currently deciding which to purchase.

imac has a lot more power in terms of gaming, but obviously isnt portable.
macbook has the flexibility to move around, but the specs dont appear overly great

can anyone comment on either and their experiences with it ? even hearsay
thanks

what about a macbook pro

both are going to be just as useless for gaming unless you are going to install windows on it

macbookpro's are much more expensive. from memory they start at around $2500 upwards.

its main purpose is for simple tasks like word processing and internet, but making it decent enough to run some pretty basic games (WoW or something) is what im hoping for. i can always run bootcamp if its a windows only game. or i could just get a pc, but they really shit me how they break down after a year

macbook vs imac purely boils down to, "do you want to take it anywhere"

as for games, in pc's you have to spend thousands to get anything half decent, when the nintendo wii is more fun at $350.

but if your really set on pc gaming then you cant get a macbook. you'll have to get a macbookpro or imac.

but yeah, you'd have to load windows onto it to get most of the games.

That is the big problem with them. I am getting one anyway probably next month, it's costing $4500 but I only pay half because of salary sacrifice.
