Hey guys.

It sucks that this is only the second year of Journeys being tested cause there's only one past HSC paper we can do.

If anyone has any Journey essay questions they've been given at school, or from an ETA or trial paper, post them here!

Thanks, and good luck with study.

Ive got one of the trial questions and our half yearly question if that helps:

How have the texts you have studied this year effectively shaped your understanding of the varied types of journeys that exist and how they can have an impact on peoples lives?

'When we travel, we often focus on our destination at a cost of other aspects of the journey'
How have the composers used their texts to value different aspects of the journey?

Hope that helps

trial question:

You ahve been asked to speak in a debate. The topic is "journeys are always learning experiences". You are allowed to decide whether you will argue for or against this statement. Write the speech you would present.

Support your ideas by using examples of how the concept of the journey of the journey has been represented in your prescribed text, one text from the stimulus booklet 'journeys' and at least one other text of your own choosing.

i really hope we get a question as easy as last years one which was:

"The arrival, not the journey, matters"

And by the way LostAuzzie your question was exactly the same as mine :)

"The journey leads to greater understanding"
-Discuss how this greater understanding is represented by composers in different ways

"The journey, not the arrival, matters"
-Discuss this statement, focusing on how composers of texts represent the concept of journey

"Any journey includes both realities and possibilities"
-To what extent do the textx you have studied support this idea?

-To what extent has studying the concept of physical, imaginative or inner journeys expanded your understanding of yourself, of individuals, and of the world?

"Every journey involves change and transformation"
-How has your understanding of the nature of the journey been shaped by the texts you have studied?

"Any journey always has some obstacles to overcome"
-How has your understanding of the nature of journey been shaped by the texts you have studied?
