i need help to understanding imagine-John Lennon its pretty good for a text for imaginative journey but was hoping for more info on it

I'm not very good at dissecting and understanding lyrics so I did and search on a google to find something. This site ( http://www.songfacts.com/detail.lasso?id=1094 ) might be of some help. Bit of a reading though, but the ideas here might give you a bit more of an insight into the song.

maybe it's because i have this pet hate for "lazy" related texts...

yeah i agree i don't think you can really get too much outta image except for maybe the title. But that doesn't mean that a song isn't a bad idea to use as an extra text.

I used Nirvana - Lithium and i found so many links with coleridge and imaginative journeys as well as A Beautiful mind.

I think its a good text to use if you do the tempest, because it links in well with Gonzalo's speech on the Commonwealth.
