Importance of Battle of Alesia? (1 Viewer)

Hi guys - our teacher's given us a heap of practice questions, one of which is on the Battle of Alesia - "Evaluate the importance of the Battle of Alesia" or something like that. The main points I've got so far are:

1) Showed Caesar's ability as general and organizational skill
2) Provided decisive end to the Gallic War, 12 days of public holiday in Rome
3) Gave Caesar much wealth and glory

But I kinda need more than that. Any suggestions? (I'm not so good at Gaul, much better with Caesar's earlier career/Marius/Sulla)

i dont do ancient so im not certain of these but:

proved wrong all the people (the senate) who said he couldnt win in Gaul
expanded romes land hugely
gave caesar a real notoriety and aura
vercingetorix was his slave and paraded through rome (psychological effect on the Gaul)
