Hahahah Alan can drink alot of water. The bad thing is that he also has a very small bladder. *damns his bladder.

Anyway, he is very sorry to say that he must leave Lynn to mind Important - Please Read alone, as Alan will be off for a nap and a read.

He wishes Lynn good day. xox

Lynn bids Alan goodbye and happy reading :)

Lynn will also be doing much reading today, and just finished another of the books she borrowed yesterday afternoon :D

Alan wonders what Justin is doing...

Lynn imagines that Justin is eating, reading, or both.
Justin doesn't eat nearly as much as he should, and as he is at the start of a book, he isn't reading too much. He has been playing Jak II: Renegade on PS2 for most of the day, and will be getting ready for his formal in the next hour or so. :D

Justin feels proud that people wondered what he was doing.

Oooh! Lynn is excited about Justins formal and inquires as to what he is wearing.

Lynn is doing a bit of reading and *gasp* is about to start writing a story inspired by her dream last night. However, she now has to find all her baby name site links (this is how Lynn finds names).

Justin is wearning a black suit, a grey shirt and an orange tie. His old guy hat might even make an appearance later in the evening. :)

Justin hates naming characters in his stories. He tried a names site once, but there were too many, and most of them were awful. In the end he just used the name of one of his brother's friends.

Hmm.

Lynn always has a "feeling" about her character's names (yes Lynn hates finding names too) but needs the name to pop up in front of her. Lynn hates finding substitute names in the event she cannot find "her" name.

Question: Lynn has a friend "nominated" to do EE2 currently in Yr 12. Is it really too late to jump into it now? Lynn feels that it is not, however she wonders what friend's teacher will say.

Justin says that it is certainly not too late to get into English Extension 2. Justin didn't start doing any serious work until at least Term 1 this year, and he feels that he did a good job on his work. Justin has two friends who came into Extension 2 this late (Justin didn't even have a teacher for a few weeks into Term 4 in the first place), and there weren't too many serious dramas.

As far as characters go, Justin uses substitue names when he can think of nothing else. Rodney and Waldo were initially substitues, though Rodney ended up staying and was even the title of Justin's work. Miggles was never a temporary name, and he thought it would be interesting to give the king a name that one would give to a cat. In the end, Justin ended up changing Waldo's name to Evan, and the town's name from Craphole to Skewiff. :D

Hmm...

Lynn is now looking for names of her "baddies", but all the baby sites only have the "good, pretty" names.

Grr.

It looks like Lynn will have to use sub names.

Hmm...

Lynn has not written fantasy stories for several months, and she is beginning to find a lot of the background research tedious, but remembers that it is necessary. She wonders whether Justin also draws maps (to scale!) and a creates a whole lot of supplementary notes.

Marcus greets everyone. He thinks it is cooly coincidental that Lynn and Justin should be talking about maps and fantasy stories right now, as Marcus was just working on his book and looking over his old maps!

Susan apologises for disappearing last night abruptly as she had a "Mrs Choi" style argument with her mother resulting in her hasty exit.

Susan hopes that Justin is having fun at his formal that Marcus is making progress with his book and that Lynn is having much fun whatever she is doing.

Susan thanks Alan for his comments on his script and remarks that it is good to get some constructive criticism. Susan also hopes that Alan had a good day wherever he was/did.

Susan is currently in the process of cleaning her room, trying to organise the post-HSC carnage of books, notes and various pieces of stationery....

She hopes to see all her friends in Important - Please Read all sometime this evening, minues Justin who is at his formal... :)

Lynn greets Marcus and Susan.

Lynn WAS in the process of finding names etc for her story, but has taken a quick break. Lynn's dream (which was inspiration for story) was set in a sort of pseudo-India, with Indian, Arabic, Greek and Latin/English/Spanish characters.

Lynn forsees LOTS of mapwork and background research. Lynn is feeling very overwhelmed at the moment.

Alan's school didnt even know if there was going to even BE a ee2 class till term 1 week 2, so Alan thinks it is not too late. In fact, he would say it is early!

Lynn will pass the word on to her potential EE2 friend. :)

Lynn greets Alan.

EDIT1: Lynn greets Susan. Lynn apologises for not starting another post but her intuition is telling her not to overtake Marcus as the "leader" in terms of post count on this thread. And Lynn trusts her intuition. :)

EDIT2: Lynn hopes that Marcus contacts her ASAP, because she needs his help! Lynn needs hindu/indian (and later, greek as well) translations for words! Lynn wishes that she would stop having interesting dreams in foreign places as it means that she would have to do much less running around... however at least she will DEFINATELY learn a lot if she manages to start/finish current story...

EDIT3: Lynn is now going off to bed, so she can re-play story in head (Lynn wishes she was a film student as some of her dreams would make much better movies than novels, but that is just Lynn's opinion) and work it out a bit more. Goodnight all! Lynn hopes that Susan finds someone to talk to soon. :)

Justin greets everyone, even Joel, and states that he just got back from watching Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason.

Justin thought it was very good. He found the Thai prison scene particularly amusing. Justin thinks that Bridget Jones is one of the most hilarious and frustrating characters ever, beaten only by Gaylord "Greg" Focker from Meet the Parents (so far).
