Yes, Marcus thought that was excellent. It related to the colour symbolism of the five chinese elements; and represented dually stages of plot revelation, and the stages of revelation about the warrior, through the character "jian", or sword. The brilliance of the colours enthralled Marcus. It was an artistically beautiful movie, and Marcus felt moved by it.

Justin didn't know all the background, however he was impressed that the movie was so attractive to the eye.

Marcus has the benefit of having studied Mandarin for three years and having gove to China. But Marcus agrees with Justin, and states that the vibrancy of the colours also affected Marcus kinesthetically.

Justin wishes that he had the patience to learn a language, however he has never been in a position where he absolutely needed it for communication.

Marcus agrees, and says that it is difficult to learn a language if you do not speak it daily. Marcus just loves learning languages; he loves the power of the "word" - ("logos" in Greek, and "zi"/"hua" in Mandarin), and its metaphysical properties. Marcus has daily conversations with his Chinese friends, and this has helped him immensely. Marcus also believes it will be easy for him to expand his Greek, because he can speak it at home. Marcus believes that learning another language expands your understanding of your first language.

Justin should just move to some strange country if he wants to learn a language, as he won't be motivated enough otherwise.

Marcus thinks that that is a weird, but admirable idea. Marcus, however, does find so many opportunities to use his Greek and his Chinese in Sydney anyway. Although he would like to go to a country to learn its language.

Marcus wonders what Justin has been doing since Ancient History.

Justin has been wasting time and/or cleaning up puppy shit, although he did watch movies with Tennille two nights in a row.

Marcus laughs, and comments that the good thing about cleaning up puppy shit is that afterwards (at least for a while) you get to cuddle cute little puppies!!! Marcus is not impressed that Justin has been wasting time . He does however, believe that this forum may help Justin with Society and Culture, giving him the first hand experience of a crazy minority group. He also believes that it is great that Justin has been spending time with his girlfriend . Marcus wishes he had a girlfriend, someone he could be close to. But he hasn't found her yet!

Alan (like always) once getting to the final post, cannot remember the points he wanted to address.

Though, for what he does remember, he would like to say that, he too has alost several months to decide what he will be doing for his 18th.

He has decided.

He wants to get drunk like he has never been drunk before! But this is very unfortunate, as Alan would like to announce that he is being forced on a family holiday back to vietnam ONE DAY BEFORE HIS BIRTHDAY! Alan seriously does no want to go. He really doesnt.

Marcus would like to say that he knows a friend who has a friend who knows you. He asks if you know a girl named Jenny.

On other notes, Alan very much so understands (at least he thinks so) what Marcus means by intelligence being a double-edged sword. He has experienced previously a very desperate want to shut down his mind, to slow down thoughts and just act for the sake of acting, without having to address concerns and concequences.

He has recently been reforming the way he sees the world and how he thinks, being more spontaneous. Although he is unsure if this is the right thing to be doing, he will do it anyway.

She asked fro Alan's number for a friend while Alan was studying at the State Library....How embarassing that this should be revealed in light!

On a more positive note! This draws Alan and Marcus closer together!
